How does In God's Love
written by Janet Hurlow
relate to
the Catholic Faith ?

Chapter 19 Information from In God's Love
that I do not Pretend to Understand   1/2

            Preface

870          The focus of Chapter 19 is on things that are written in In God’s Love that I do not understand.  The purpose of “The Presentation” is to see if In God’s Love contradicts the deposit of the faith of the Catholic Church.  If I do not understand an idea, then it is possible that this idea contradicts the Catholic faith.  The best I can do is present what I do not understand as clearly as possible and, if possible, offer up some possible explanations to what I do not understand.  It will be impossible to state with definite certitude that nothing presented  in this Chapter conflicts with the faith when I do not understand the concept I am reading.   One could argue that this Chapter is unnecessary for two reasons.  First, because with a book of this nature it is not possible to understand everything, so it could be argued that it is only important to review the things that can be understood.  Second, this is becoming too detailed.

871           This Chapter is written for two reasons.  First, so this can be a thorough review of In God’s Love.  Rather than try to hide the contradictions or vagueness by not noting them, and thus damage the integrity of this work, I thought it wiser to admit my limitations and open the discussion for others to explore.   Second, it is written in the hope that people who are smarter, wiser, and holier than I can bring some wisdom and understanding to the ideas I do not understand.  The messengers wrote, “Bring this book before kings.  Bring it into council.  Set it before wise men of Earth.  Such signs are reached.  Song of songs in the time of times has come.”(1)   In time may the Holy Spirit guide wise people in council to understand what to me seems vague, contradictory, or just plain confusing.

Part 1 There are Three Major Things in In God’s Love

that I do not Understand

                      Section 1 Inscribed and Written

872           There are three major things that are presented in In God’s Love that I do not understand.  I term them major in that they are very prominent in the book.  Throughout all of In God’s Love a prominent thought is one of being “inscribed”.  Even with knowledge of Webster’s definition of inscription,(2) what exactly do the messengers mean when they write that something is inscribed?  It is God who inscribes as they write, ““Holy Ghost who remains forever in such splendor with the Father and the Son, glory and delight of all saints, inscriber of souls of those who call on You,”(3)   God’s own heart is inscribed.(4)

873           Many things, other than God, are inscribed.  All sings of life are inscribed in God’s spirit.(5)   The messengers and their mission are inscribed.(6)   In God’s Love is inscribed.(7)   The Earth and its song are inscribed.(8)   Our freewill is inscribed.(9)   Some sorrows are inscribed.(10)   The harvest of mankind is inscribed.(11)

874           Some things are inscribed in heaven.  Songs of praise are inscribed.(12) You,(13)  your song,(14)  and your name(15)  are inscribed in heaven.  Your name is inscribed in a special book, as they write, “Beloved of God’s Spirit, inscribed is your name in Heaven.  God sings so blessedly in your hearts.  Songs sung on Earth are sung in Heaven.  Your name is inscribed in gold in this book.”(16)

875           People are inscribed in God’s Spirit.  As the messengers write, “God’s Spirit enters your souls, and each sign of His love is inscribed on your spirit.  This is so beautiful.”(17)    They also write, “You have done well, and in your inscribed spirit is wisdom and life.”(18)   They write that saints are inscribed,(19)  and time is inscribed.(20)   Finally, at the end of In God’s Love, table # 2 presents 20 phrases that are introduced with the words “it is inscribed.”(21)   In a related train of thought table, # 1 presents 50 phrases that are introduced with the words “it is written.”(22)

876           So what does it mean to be inscribed? There is a sense of certitude, finality, seal, union of inscriber and what is inscribed, and a deep union, and yet to me what exactly it means remains a deep mystery.  I would not be surprised if in the afterlife I find out what it means to be “inscribed” is deeper than what I currently think or perhaps can even imagine.  To a lesser degree, everything that I have mentioned with “inscribed” also may apply to “written”,  Which introduces another question: “Just what is the difference between something being “written” and something being “inscribed”?

Section 2 The Unfolding of Creation

877           The unfolding of creation is an image/theme that is present throughout In God’s Love.  Because I have a really uncertain grasp of the theme, I will be presenting almost all of the phrases that deal with the theme.  Sometimes it seems like the “unfolding of creation” is like observing the beautiful life of nature but always keeping an eye to the lifeblood of the reality of life, which is the spirit of God.  The following quotes come to mind.  “This is so very right, for the unfolding of nature is in God’s very Spirit …. In God’s Spirit, see the wonders of nature unfold in such beauty.”(23)    “So sweetly and slowly, God’s creations unfold in God’s Spirit.”(24)

878           Then again, it seems like it is more than nature just moving along, but is a part of the nature of God, for they write, “This is the sacred unfolding of God’s Creation.  It is the very nature of God…..This is the unfolding”(25)

879           The following three quotes give me a sense that there is also a specific unfolding that is going to happen, or is happening.  May be what is going to happen, or is already happening, is all a part of one big universal unfolding.  The first quote, “This is the great glory of our unity.  Saints of Earth, in this Spirit is the whole unity of things that are made.  Strive for this wonder.  In such sweet music was the Earth created.  In this harmony are the saints of God.  This sweet music is a very slow unfolding of all things into something very beautiful.”(26)   This quote also gives me a sense of unfolding a wonderful surprise that is going to be really, really good.  The second quote says, “In the unfolding of creation, it is your victory symbol.  In this song of life, would you come?”(27)   The third quote says, “Creation waits the unfolding of the universe and universe's very worlds that have been created in God’s love.”(28)   I get the sense that this unfolding of creation is big, and I mean really big.

880           Part of the unfolding is to gather us Earth Saints in.  They write, “God takes His own wise spirits; ‘children,’ they are called.  This is the time to gather little Earth saints into the fold of creation.  Soon, such unfolding is seen.”(29)   Maybe now in our new state of existence we can be a part of the flock.  Maybe as sinless beings we can now travel in God’s Spirit to any part that His spirit touches.(30)   Maybe it is speaking to the reality that we will no longer be separated from the rest of the universe and will take our place as citizens of the universe, children of God.(31)  What exactly does this “unfolding of creation” and gathering of Earth saints “into the fold of creation” mean?  I rather suspect it is a mystery that is beyond our current limited capacities to understand or appreciate and certainly to experience.  As the Catechism wisely states, “We know neither the moment of the consummation of the Earth and of man, nor the way in which the universe will be transformed.(32)

                      SectionSirts

881           I have created this story to serve as a metaphor for this portion of the presentation.  Once upon a time there was a man who was presented with a jigsaw puzzle.  He knew nothing about the puzzle before it was presented to him.  The box that contained the puzzle did not have an image of the completed puzzle and it only had the title and the phrase “a 1000 piece puzzle”.  The man proceeded to put together the puzzle, only to soon realize that he only had 200 of the 1,000 pieces.  Undaunted, he continued with the familiar, starting with the straight pieces, border pieces he assumed, and then putting pieces together that seemed to go together.  When the man had completed all he could do, he had some portions of the puzzle almost complete.  He had figured out where some of those portions went in the puzzle, but others he did not.  He had small and large gaps in the puzzle where he had no idea of what went there.  He had some pieces linked together, but he had no idea how they fit into the completed image.  He also had some pieces sitting alone with no connection at all to other pieces.  There were even a few pieces that he was not sure even went to this puzzle.  At this point he knew a lot more about the puzzle than when he began, but he had many more questions.  The man was somewhat pleased with the puzzle, for the parts that he had put together were beautiful, but he looked forward to the day when he would have all the pieces.  The puzzle was titled “Sirts”.

882           I will attempt to explore fourteen quotes about Sirts and maybe at the end come to a consensus about what can be ascertained about Sirts and what is confusing about Sirts.  What is a Sirt?  The messengers appear to define a “Sirt” in the following quote, “Earth people, God holds each tiny seed in His Spirit and calls them by name, ‘Sirts.’  Sirts in all creation.  Sirts are a seed, yet not started.”(33)    “Sirts in all creation.”  So this does not just apply to our sperm and egg seed, or even every seed bearing plant, or reproductive animal of the planet Earth, but all seeds in all of creation.  OK so each seed of every living thing in the universe is held in God’s Spirit and is called “Sirt.”

883           The messengers write, “As a bud blooms into a flower, seeds are Sirts in God’s Spirit.  Real is a seed, yet it is not started.  Wisdom speaks, ‘Signs of life are in a seed.”(34)   In the plant world, everything except time, heat, and moisture is in a seed of a plant.  Seeds do exist.  Seeds are real.  Seeds contain the potential for life, but are not living yet.  They exist, but they do not live.  Yet, at some point they begin to live.  It is wise that we know that “signs of life” are in a seed, whether it is in plant form or the egg and sperm of an animal or a human being.

884           The messengers write, “On Earth, the seed is stifled, and the bud is pinched off.  God calls a name very softly, and, in response to His calling, there is no answer.  In this sign, God is very displeased.  Signs of life are in a seed.  Signs of life are created in a sprout.  Small, oh so small, when God calls, ‘Let there be life.’  The seed answers, ‘Yes, Father, let there be life.’”(35)   It is God the Father who causes the seed that exists to come to life.  When surgeries, devices, or chemicals are used to prevent life from happening in response to God’s call, that is not good.  So, maybe Sirts could be our eggs (seeds not yet started) and perhaps our sperm, too, plus all the other eggs and sperm in the universe, and seeds, Sirts may also include life after conception or after the beginning of growth from a seed.

885           The next quote appears to be discussing abortions of infants.  The messengers write, “Rise up, voices of spirits slain in such a way. Cry for life, small ones of God. Children of Earth, sing a song of Holy innocence. Sing a song of Sirts. Songs of such sorrow, songs of such crimes reach Heaven in sorrow for their murderers. Souls of such sweetness see rest in God’s Spirit. This is real life. Those who send such little ones kill the spirits of themselves, and this is self aborted death.”(36)   They also write, “Spirits of Earth, Sirts are small and defenseless.”(37)   While the latter quote could be written about sperm and eggs, to me it conjures up images of children in the womb.  The “souls” of children rest in God’s Spirit, yet this is called the song of “Sirts”, not the song of “children”, although the messengers call them children.  So, maybe Sirts not only applies to sperm and egg, but also children in the womb.  Yet, elsewhere, in the Forth Woe, the messengers will speak of, “Children who are born in this sorrow are taken from the womb in God’s mercy, lest they be dashed against stones at birth.”(38)   They called them children and not Sirts.  Maybe this was just an oversight, or maybe not.

886           Sirts are, “Signs of life to be created.  Signs of life yet to come.  Very real in God’s creations, yet to Earth, things and creatures to come.”(39)   This seems to reinforce what was stated before about existing, but not living yet.  Then we have the next three lines.  They write, “Be still. Listen.  We (Sirts?) are in a different time.  Sing in this, try not to understand.”(40)   The messengers state that we are to “try not to understand” which I think is another way of saying we are not going to understand this.  So, shall I endeavor to explain what it is we cannot understand?  Now that is a bit presumptuous!  Perhaps they mean that every seed in our Earth-time that existed, but did not become living yet and perhaps those that did become living, but did not get to be born are called “Sirts” and in some “other time” they did come to life, or were allowed to continue to live.  Time on their planet is inscribed to live forever, but Earth time is not inscribed to live forever.(41)   Or, perhaps they mean something else.

887           The Sirts who are writing In God’s Love are part of a race for they explain, “Real are our signs.  Sweet are our spirits.  Peaceful is our coming.  Sirts you see.  Rem is our race.  This is short in speaking as people of Earth understand small ways. This is spoken: ‘In Rem are the ways of Rem, in Man are the ways of Man.’”(42)   So these Sirts are the yet-to-be-alive-offspring of the race of Rem. Huh?   Maybe in the race of Rem all of them are yet to be alive in the way we think of being alive?  Maybe the Sirts of Rem are living where the Sirts of Man are not yet living? I think there may be a distinction made between our Sirts and Sirts of other races like Rem.  The reason I think that this may be so is because on our journey to our new dwelling the messengers write, “To wish you well on your journey are our saints of special quality, our Sirts and all those of Earth who have gone before you.”(43)   “Our Sirts” could be a term of endearment, but I believe it may be a qualifier saying that it is the Sirts of Rem that are seeing you off and not the Sirts of man.  The Sirts of man may be included in “all those of Earth who have gone on before you,” or maybe not.  Are the Sirts of Rem living because they are in a different time?  Could the Sirts of Rem really be our Sirts now grown to make up the race of Rem?  If there are Sirts of Rem, are there also adults of Rem, or are all Rem, Sirts?  Perhaps they were wise when they wrote, “try not to understand.”

888           One thing that I think is clear is that these Sirts come to gather us in.  As a prelude to the formal presentation of the Seven Woes in passage 224,  the messengers write, “Whom shall we choose out of the Earth?  Such a decision is very real.  Such a decision must be right.  Let us speak to many on Earth.  Sirts, Sirts, go forth.   Bring us Earth creatures while it is time.”(44)  In the Fourth Woe they write, “Are there any left on the Earth who are in God’s Spirit?  Sirts are searching, so please reach out.  All who are in God’s Spirit, His hand is stretched out.”(45)

889           Because the Sirts are in God’s Spirit they are full of wisdom and understanding.  The messengers write, “In Sirts, understanding, such understanding, is reached.  Very sweetly on this Earth, speak, creatures seen in God’s Spirit.”(46)

890           Then there is this wonderful section of a passage, “Very dear ones of Earth, from God, take inspiration.  Saints of Earth, this is God’s Spirit bringing you comfort.  Sirts spirits, in God’s Spirit, worlds reach you who bring you sweet songs.  Virtue is in this child.  Come, behold, so well do wise ones of God bring gifts.  Take these gifts.  In God’s Spirit, they bless and heal.  Children of the Cosmos, take in God’s Spirit.  Take and restore.  Sift out and find.  In this sorrow, bring saints in.”(47)   Who sifts out and finds?  The Sirts do.  Therefore, it is the Sirts who “take and restore”.  It is the Sirts who “take in God’s Spirit”.  It is the Sirts who bless and heal in God’s Spirit and are the Children of the Cosmos.  Is it a Sirt who is “this child” who is virtuous?

891           What does it mean to be “Children of the Cosmos”?  At first it gives us a sense of wonder, that their home is the Cosmos, but perhaps it is not wonderful.  When Wisdom and other Saints of God are asking the King to restore the Earth after its death, they state the following as one a reason for the request: “Earth children are as Sirts, very much in need of a home.”(48)  Are the children of the Cosmos homeless?  I thought we were living on their planet.  Maybe these Sirts are homeless, parentless, (except for being in the Spirit of the Father) because their human parents killed them and abandoned them in this time and they are still without a home in the other time?  Maybe we just don’t have a clue as to what they mean by some of these statements.  To add even more possible complexity of understanding to the reality of Sirts, there may be another life known as a “srit” or it could be that “srits” is just “sirts” misspelled, in which case there would be more passages to add a little more material to the discussion.(49)

892           No matter how incomplete our puzzle of Sirts is,  I believe we can say the following five things about “Sirts”.  First, there are Sirts that are seeds that exist, but are not yet living.  Second, there are Sirts that we see that make up the race of Rem.  Third, there are Sirts that are in God’s Spirit and will be gathering us up and wishing us well on our journey. Fourth, these three descriptions of Sirts may be the same or different beings.  Fifth, at this point, there are many things we do not understand about Sirts.
